London's Electroacoustic Club is once again the focus for a unique and diverse compilation of exclusive tracks recorded at the Slaughtered Lamb.

Since the release of Volume 1 and subsequent success of contributors such as Jack Penate, Jamie Woon, and Sam Beer, those discerning musical magpies at Electroacoustic Club and Running Jump Records have been keeping their ears to the floor with the intention of putting together this second pick'n'mix of the finest, most original and diverse acoustic and electric acts plying their trade without a label on the London scene and beyond in 2006.

'Live at Electroacoustic Club Volume 2' takes a giant leap forward from where the first compilation left off, encompassing a spectrum of styles from the junkyard psych-pop and west-coast harmonies of HEXICON, burlesque fairground folk of RUTH THEODORE, raw slide blues and Americana of sultry girl duo and Ed Harcourt faves, SMOKE FAIRIES, sparse, brooding, gothic gospel of MATT KEBBELL, hook-laden retro swagger and home-brewed psychedlia of THE BLISTERS and the certifiably surreal musical comedy of DAVID GOO.

The new album also features Lou Rhodes' guitarist, STEPHEN JUNIOR, BLUE ROSE CODE, who recently supported Ms Rhodes at her request, and SMOKE FEATHERS, hot property after tearing up the Myspace stage at the summer's Wireless Festival and currently courted by Island Records, amongst others.

The line-up is completed by Roots & Shoots favourite, DARREN PLANT, DANA IMMANUEL, MARCELS PERMANENT WAVE, ROXY RAWSON, MISS JO WILLIAMS and SAMANTHA WHATES.

Despite filling to capacity most nights with a clued-up crowd looking beyond London’s regular stale and predictable venues and promoters, electroacoustic club @ The Slaughtered Lamb remains one of the best-kept secrets on the London circuit. This second instalment in the series captures the warmth, intensity, spontaneity and intimacy of a magical musical mecca that has already this year hosted Paolo Nutini, Jack Penate, Leafcutter John, Jeff Klein, Ane Brun, John Smith, Declan O’Rourke, The Tiny, & Vijay Kishore.
